Practices
The Portland Community meets weekly for SMS practices and about every 10 days for Ganapujas. Please click the Calendar link for days and times. For any questions, please feel free to send an email. Note: individual communities also host their own practices and Ganapujas. Please click the respective community page for information on practices held near you.
Retreats
We also hold half day and full day practice retreats. Anyone with Transmission is welcome to attend.
Webcasts and World Wide Transmissions
We have a live video feed on a 47″ screen and are open to all practitioners who are interested in viewing both open and closed webcasts and Worldwide Transmissions, regardless of the times they are broadcast. To participate in a closed webcast, one must be a paid member of the Dzogchen Community. The times of webcasts vary, depending on Rinpoche’s location in the world. Sometimes they’re at 8am, sometimes 5pm, 11pm, midnite, 1am, 2am, 3am, etc. We try to participate in every webcast.
Note: if you are planning to participate in a webcast with us, please observe the following guidelines in consideration of everyone’s comfort.
- Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
- It is customary to leave a donation to support community activities.
- Altar offerings such as flowers are welcome, but not required.
- Snacks and drinks for members are also welcome, but not required.
- Please do not block the South driveway. The North driveway is fine to park at.
- Please be quiet and considerate of the neighbors.
- Please consider the webcast as being in front of the teacher and observe normal protocols of respect, ie not talking, eating, etc. during teachings.
